I’m Sharon Profis, writer, editor, cook, video host, lover of California, and anchovy hype woman with a lifelong love of inspiring people to try and do new things.

I’ve spent my 15+ year career in digital publishing. At CNET, I was Editor for 10 years and I’ve held a few content leadership roles. I’m currently head of CNET Studios, a video, social, and custom content production house.

In 2013, I was brought on to host PBS’ “Farm to Fork,” a nationally televised cooking series that celebrates California’s bountiful growing regions. As the host as recipe developer, I share dishes that are seasonal, ingredient-driven, and achievable by home cooks everywhere. You can find the 2023 season episodes here.

I’m a first-generation American, born to parents of Persian and Moroccan roots, and that often shows in my food. I’ve spent many summers in Israeli kitchens and on farms learning the ways of my heritage and developing a deep love for ingredient-driven dishes.

In addition to keynote speaking, leading workshops, and classes, I’ve been featured in publications such as Allure and Martha Stewart and have frequently appeared on CBS Mornings, The Today Show, and Good Morning America, among others.
